Kia ora, my name is Rawinia Marino, and I am a retired senior corrections officer with over 31 years of service. I spent the last four years of my career working in the family violence sector, where I developed a deep understanding of the lasting impact trauma has on individuals and families. After retiring, I transitioned into the Whanau Resilience space, focusing on empowering families to build emotional and mental resilience. My work continues to center around helping individuals overcome challenges and fostering healthier relationships within communities.
A pivotal moment in my journey came when I was introduced to Havening Trauma Therapy. This transformative, scientifically-backed therapeutic approach has profoundly impacted my life and the lives of those I work with. As a qualified Havening Therapy Practitioner, I now dedicate myself to helping others heal from trauma, using a compassionate, non-invasive method that promotes emotional and psychological well-being. I am inspired by the positive changes I’ve witnessed and excited to continue my journey, committed to supporting others in their healing process.
